Safety During Minneapolis Climate Week
Minneapolis Climate Week brings people together to learn, connect, and move good work forward. Gathering in community matters. At the same time, daily life in Minneapolis is disrupted, and some members of our community face heightened risk simply moving through public spaces.
Here are a few considerations for attendees and event hosts.
For Attendees
- If attending in person feels risky, look for remote or hybrid options when available.
- Attend with others when possible.
- Share your plans with someone you trust, including where you’re going and when you expect to return.
For Event Hosts
- Offer remote participation when feasible.
- Clearly welcome attendees so people can find the event easily and know they are in the right place.
- Identify nearby community resources or points of contact in advance, in case support is needed.
Community matters. This work matters.
Minneapolis Climate Week exists because people choose to show up for one another.
